We offer exclusive, all-inclusive spring break and graduation events to secret destinations worldwide where international crowds of hundreds of university students join us in the Caribbean, South America, Europe, and Southeast Asia.

What documents do I need to travel abroad?

You’ll typically need a valid passport with at least 6 months validity until its expiration date counting from the day you travel, a visa (if required), proof of accommodation (which we provide with your reservation), and sometimes evidence of financial support (may not be needed since the event is all-inclusive) or a return ticket.

Do I need a visa to travel abroad?

It depends on the destination country and your nationality/current residence.

If you are not currently a national or aren't a legal resident in the country where the event is held, you may need a valid visa. Check the visa requirements on the embassy's official website for the country you’re visiting.

* All costs related to obtaining a passport, applying for required visas, or paying arrival/departure fees at the destination airports/destinations are the responsibility of the traveler and are not included in our services.
Can I use my phone while abroad?

Yes, but roaming fees may apply. It’s best to get an international SIM card or a local SIM card in the country you’re visiting.

Based on feedback from our staff and clients, we recommend purchasing a prepaid SIM card from a local service provider upon arrival. These SIM cards are widely available at the international airport, offering a convenient way to stay connected throughout your trip.

How much money should I budget for a trip abroad?

Budget depends on the destination, duration, and your lifestyle.

Our all-inclusive events cover most of your essential expenses, and the full details of what's included can be found in the "What's Included" section of your event booking information.

However, depending on your country of origin, you may need to budget for additional costs such as flights, meals outside of the included plan, local transportation or rentals, arrival/departure fees, optional activities, personal expenses, and any other expenses not listed in the "What's Included" section of your event booking information.

What should I pack for an international trip?

Essentials include clothing for the climate, personal hygiene items, medications, chargers, adapters, travel documents, and a small emergency kit.

Can I bring my own food and snacks?

Yes, but it’s important to check local customs regulations, as some countries have restrictions on bringing in fresh produce or certain packaged foods. While most venues offer a wide variety of meal options, bringing your own snacks is especially recommended if you have food allergies or specific dietary restrictions.

Do I need travel insurance?

Yes, travel insurance is highly recommended as it can cover medical emergencies, trip cancellations, lost baggage, and more.

At IBENTO, the safety and well-being of our clients while abroad is our top priority. That’s why all our events include complimentary travel insurance. If you already have your own coverage, you have the option to decline enrollment during the booking process.

How much luggage can I bring?

Baggage allowances depend on the airline. Most international flights permit one carry-on and one checked bag, but weight and size limits may vary. These details will be provided in your ticket reservation once your flight booking is confirmed.

Packing & Preparation

1. All costs associated with obtaining personal items, vaccinations, and alternative travel insurance are the responsibility of the traveler and are not included in our services.

2. If you choose to decline our included travel insurance, no partial refunds will be applied to the final event price.

3. Acceptance of the complimentary travel insurance is subject to the terms and conditions established by the insurance provider. This may include but is not limited to, the requirement to submit personal information or medical records as requested by the insurer. The full terms and conditions will be made available to you, and we will send you a way to contact the insurance provider before the start of the event or your first outbound travel date. IBENTO will not mediate, collect, or store data or information and share it with the insurer other than your email address and full name.

4. Approval for travel insurance coverage is solely determined by the insurance provider based on their criteria, and neither IBENTO nor any of our staff intervene in this process.

5. If coverage is denied by the insurance company, no refunds, credits, or adjustments will be made to the final event price.
Do I need vaccinations to travel abroad?

It depends on the destination. Some countries require vaccinations for diseases like yellow fever. Check with your local healthcare provider or travel clinic.

* All costs related to obtaining medications or vaccinations are the responsibility of the traveler and are not included in our services.
Is the water safe to drink abroad?

It depends on the country. If unsure, stick to bottled or filtered water.

Be cautious of potential exposure to unsafe water, especially when showering, brushing your teeth, or consuming drinks with ice.

Health & Safety

How do I stay safe while traveling abroad?

All our events take place in secure destinations and popular tourist areas.

Trust your instincts and prioritize safety by traveling in groups, staying alert to your surroundings, avoiding isolated areas, securing your valuables, and keeping digital copies of your travel documents.

Where can I exchange currency abroad?

You can exchange money at airports, banks, ATMs, or currency exchange offices. Based on feedback from our staff and customers, exchange offices at destination airports and ATMs typically offer better rates. However, if using an ATM, be sure to account for any foreign transaction fees that may apply in addition to the exchange rate applied by your card issuer or bank.

Should I carry cash or rely on credit cards?

Carrying a combination of cash and credit cards is always recommended, as some places may not accept cards. Local cash is particularly useful for small purchases, such as gratuities.

* The choice of where to exchange money is entirely personal, and you should select the option that best fits your needs based on your research, experience, or available alternatives. Exchange rates are determined by banks and exchange offices and may fluctuate daily or even multiple times a day. IBENTO is not responsible for any unfavorable rate conditions from the vendor you choose.
Can I use my credit card abroad?

Yes, but ensure your card is enabled for international use. Visa and Mastercard are widely accepted. Notify your bank before traveling to prevent card blocks, and always keep your card within sight when making payments at any vendor.

Money & Payments

What items are prohibited from bringing into another country?

Items like fresh produce, plants, animal products, certain electronics, and restricted medications may be banned. Check the destination’s customs guidelines.

What cultural customs should I know before I travel?

Research the country's etiquette, such as dress codes, tipping practices, and local laws to avoid accidental offense or legal issues. Wearing a shirt to access clubs is usually mandatory and business casual may be needed to attend the last night's gala or thematic dinner (we will inform you in advance for specifics after making the reservation and saving your spot).

* All gratuities are not included in our services and is your responsibility should these be required or customary.
What happens if I break a law abroad?

You are subject to local laws. If you’re detained, contact your country’s consulate or embassy for legal assistance, and our local representative as soon as possible to help you arrange any possible assistance with your travel arrangements.

Customs, Laws & Local Etiquette

Do I need to pay gratuities or tips?

Gratuities or tips are at your discretion. In many destinations, tipping is customary for service providers such as hotel staff, guides, or drivers. We recommend carrying some local cash for this purpose to show appreciation for excellent service.

How far in advance should I book my flight?

All our bookings include a return flight from a designated international hub. If this departure city is not your starting airport of departure, we recommend booking your connecting flight 2-6 months before the event’s initial departure to secure the best deals, as booking too early or too late can lead to higher prices.

Should you wish to book your connecting flight through us, feel free to contact our team. We’ll be happy to assist you in finding a suitable flight.

How do I get from the destination airport to my accommodation?

All our events include transfers at the destination from/to the airport and the selected accommodations.

If you wish for a more personal option, you may choose taxis, rideshare apps (like Uber), public transport, or airport shuttles. Do some research before arrival to avoid scams or inflated prices.

* All connecting flights booked through us are offered at competitive market rates, equal to those available through other self-service providers and we do not receive commissions. A small fixed fee will apply per extra flight booked through our service.

Any extra accommodation expenses are not included. If your connecting flight is scheduled for the day prior to the initial departure flight or the day after on the return's date arrival after the event's end you may need to arrange for your own accommodation.

We are happy to help you find suitable accommodation at market rates, with a small booking fee applied based on the selected lodging.
Can I book group travel with friends?

Yes, booking as a group often results in discounts and special perks. Visit our website's Groups section for more information.

Travel & Booking

Can I cancel my trip and get a full refund?

All our events are non-refundable. However, if you are unable to travel, you have the option to transfer your booking to another person for a small fee. This can be done up to 15 days before the first departure date, ensuring your spot doesn’t go to waste. Please contact our support team to facilitate this change.
Can I book additional nights before or after the event?

Yes, you can extend your stay before or after the event. While these additional nights are not included in your package, our team will be happy to assist in arranging accommodations at competitive market rates. A small booking fee may apply.
What if I miss my flight?*

If you miss your flight, you must contact the airline immediately to explore rebooking options. Please note that additional costs for rebooking will not be covered by IBENTO. Our team can assist you with alternative travel arrangements if needed.
What happens if my flight is delayed or canceled?*

In the event of a flight delay or cancellation, you must follow the airline's policies and procedures. IBENTO will assist you in contacting the airline and rearranging your travel plans, but any additional costs incurred will be the responsibility of the traveler.
* IBENTO is not responsible for any additional accommodation costs arising from flight delays or unforeseen events, including but not limited to missing a flight, natural disasters, extreme weather conditions, acts of war, strikes, government-imposed restrictions, or other force majeure circumstances. While we strive to provide assistance in such situations, any associated expenses will remain the responsibility of the traveler.
* The transfer of an event booking does not include any associated flights. The ability to transfer a booked airfare to another individual is strictly subject to the terms and conditions of the airline and the specific fare purchased. Any transfer fees charged by IBENTO pertain solely to the event booking and do not cover airline-imposed fees or charges. In cases where airfare cannot be transferred, a new flight ticket may need to be purchased at current market rates. The individual assuming the booking will be responsible for arranging and covering the cost of their own airfare if a transfer is not permitted by the airline. For further assistance, please contact our support team.
